Introduction

The 2 main objectives of this manual are the following:

  • Installation procedures for the roller packer to be safely mounted on a chassis
  • Operation and maintenance information and procedures after the installation

Installation of the PK-608 on the chassis

The PK-608 in its delivery configuration needs some modifications before it can be operated :

  1. Unload the PK-608 from the container
  2. Mount the PK-608 on the chassis
  3. Make a permanent installation of the PK-608 on the chassis, in accordance to the rules and regulations in effect in the territory that the installation is being made.
  4. Connect the hydraulic and electrical circuits to the chassis’ PTO mounted hydraulic pump.
  5. Configure the PK-608 accessories in order to switch from transport mode to operation mode.

Operator and maintenance manual – Foreword

The purpose of this foreword and its related annexes is to help the end user and the maintenance workers to get familiar with the machine and optimise its usage in relation with the number of working hours.

The foreword contains important instructions to be able to securely operate the PACKMAT in an appropriate manner. Respecting these instructions will avoid injuries, lower the maintenance cost and increase the life expectancy of the machine.

This manual must always be available on the operation site.

This manual must be read and applied by anyone in charge of operating the machine.

  • Driving, including maintenance during work
  • Shipping and handling

In order to prevent accidents and to protect the environment, this manual simply completes the regulations underway in the company making use of the machine. It does not replace public regulations that need to be respected.
